Vaccination

Vaccination is the most effective method that preventively reduces or completely eliminates the risk of contracting various difficult-to-treat or life-threatening infectious diseases. Vaccination not only protects the health of each individual and increases immunity against specific diseases, but also promotes the so-called herd immunity of the entire society. By performing the mandatory vaccinations prescribed by the state, we protect not only ourselves, but also our loved ones, friends and other members of society.

Thanks to vaccination, the spread of serious infectious diseases such as smallpox, polio, tetanus, measles, meningitis, etc. has been eradicated or significantly reduced over the years. During vaccination, a specially developed medication or vaccine is injected into the body, which triggers a response from the body's immune system. As a result, the body begins to produce special antibodies. When exposed to a specific infectious agent (virus or bacteria), the antibodies in the body recognize and neutralize it, thus stopping the disease completely or making it much easier.

At the Adoria Health and Beauty Center in Riga, A. Čaka Street 70-3, we offer both mandatory, state-paid vaccinations for children and adult patients registered in our family doctor's practices, as well as optional paid vaccinations for unregistered patients. Please contact us in advance for vaccine availability by calling +371 67 315 000.
