How does laser hair removal work?

Laser hair removal is a modern method of removing unwanted hair that uses laser light pulses to prevent unwanted hair growth on various parts of the body and face. This procedure is the most effective and safest way to say goodbye to daily shaving, waxing, or other cumbersome and regular hair removal techniques.

Aesthetic medicine uses special lasers that operate on the principle of selective photothermolysis. This principle is based on the interaction between light waves and body tissues. During the procedure, light pulses are absorbed by the hair follicles, which are responsible for hair growth. When the light reaches the hair follicle, it is converted into heat (approximately 100 degrees), which damages the hair follicles and prevents further hair growth.

Laser hair removal is most effective on dark, thick hair and fair skin types, as these hair follicles have a higher concentration of melanin, which absorbs more light. However, with the advancement of modern technology, it is also possible to achieve good results with other hair types.
