Biorevitalization, or hyaluronic acid injections

Hyaluronic acid is one of the most important components of the body’s connective tissue. Hyaluronic acid molecules perform extremely important functions, including attracting and retaining water in the intercellular space, participating in water transport within the body, and ensuring the necessary conditions for cell function. A single hyaluronic acid molecule can bind approximately 250–500 water molecules, and thanks to this property, hyaluronic acid is a key component in maintaining the skin’s youthfulness and health.

Hyaluronic acid supports the skin’s hydration processes, promotes the synthesis of elastin and collagen, and protects the skin against free radicals, thereby ensuring both skin elasticity and firmness, as well as a healthy complexion and a radiant, youthful appearance.

Unfortunately, starting around age 25, hyaluronic acid production gradually decreases, and by age 50, hyaluronic acid levels in the tissues have decreased by approximately 50%. As a result, the skin becomes drier, wrinkles form, and signs of aging appear.

Although there is currently a wide range of cosmetic products available that contain hyaluronic acid, it is not possible for hyaluronic acid molecules to penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin through topical cosmetic applications.

Thanks to rapid advancements in aesthetic cosmetology, it is now possible to effectively restore hyaluronic acid levels in the deeper layers of the skin, thereby not only slowing down the aging process but also improving facial skin imperfections. Facial biorevitalization, or hyaluronic acid injections, stimulates the skin’s natural regeneration processes, promotes the production of new hyaluronic acid molecules, and restores the structure of collagen and elastin fibers.

At the Adoria Health and Beauty Center, biorevitalization using the highest-quality hyaluronic acid biorevitalizers is performed by Sintija Vēciņa, a cosmetologist and beauty specialist with a medical background.

Your questions, our answers

Mesotherapy, like biorevitalization (or hyaluronic acid injections for the face), is an effective aesthetic procedure for facial skin rejuvenation. However, unlike biorevitalization, a course of mesotherapy is longer, and the effects become apparent after several procedures. The composition of the preparations administered during the procedure also differs. A specialist determines the suitability of a specific procedure by assessing each client’s individual needs and skin condition.
